Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Study Transfer Program (STP) - your pathway to success at your chosen training program. The following Terms and Conditions are an integral part of your offer. You should read it carefully before completing and signing the Application Form.

Application
First of all you have to complete the Application Form on the www.studytransfer.eu website.

When your application is accepted, you will receive an offer letter. To accept our offer, you are required to pay an Application Fee and in certain cases, a Tuition Fee as well as specified in the offer (see terms for VISA requirements below). Refunds of the fees will be in accordance with the Refund Policy (see below). Once STP has received the fees and all conditions of the offer have been met, you will receive a COE (Certificate of Enrollment) from the College or the University confirming your place on the program. This letter is an essential part of your VISA application.

Please note: Each University has a specific admission procedure (not all require an entrance examination). Please read the program details carefully!

Necessary documents for the VISA application procedure: Certificate of Enrollment and Proof of Receipt (acknowledgement of your acceptance and payment) will be issued only in case the academic conditions of the offer have been met and STP received the Tuition Fee.

With the completed Application Form you entrust Study Transfer Program to arrange all administration regarding your admission procedure to the chosen course and institution.

Payment And Fees
Application fee: 170 EUR (for every Applicant)
Tuition Fee: In case you do not need a VISA to study in Hungary, it is up to you whether you pay the Tuition Fee for one semester (or for the whole program in case of shorter programs) in advance or you pay it later during the enrollment procedure. You have to bear in mind that your place on the program is 100% secured only in case you pay the Tuition Fee in advance!

Tuition Fee of each term will be subject to an increase that may be announced during the program. You will not be permitted to commence or continue your course at the beginning of any term until all outstanding fees, charges or accounts are paid.

You should check the program descriptions of the chosen course regarding the Tuition Fees. STP reserves the right to vary its fees at any time.

Payment for nationalities requiring VISA
In case you need a VISA to study in Hungary (see our VISA section on our website), you are required to pay the Application Fee along with one semester Tuition Fee (or a certain part of the Tuition Fee depending on the length of the program) of your chosen program.

Academic Completion
In order to complete any program and subsequent courses, you have to meet certain academic attainment requirements.You will be continously assessed throughout the course. This assessment will take coursework, attendance and examinations into account.

Importantly, you must also meet the minimum English language requirement to enter the relevant university program.

You will only be eligible to sit the final examination for each module upon satisfactory performance, attendance and completion of all coursework.

If you do not meet the academic attainment standards or English language proficiency requirements you will not be allowed to proceed with your original course but may be offered an alternative course or required to withdraw without refund.

Attendance
You have to attend at least 80% of the classes in order to meet the study Visa requirements in Hungary. In case you fail to attend 100% of your classes and tutorial sessions, it may have a serious impact on your performance and you will be not able to complete your studies. It is your responsibility to attend the classes regularly in order to complete your studies successfully.

Refund Policy
Payment of the Application Fee is paid for application assistance and is required upon acceptance of your offer. The Application Fee is non-refundable. The Tuition Fee will be refunded in case of your VISA being refused.

All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the STP Central Office and will normally be processed within 30 days from receipt. Please attach a copy of the VISA refusal letter and your passport (showing both the photograph and signature). If the payment was not made by the student but by someone else, an authoriation is required from the student for repayment purposes.

Request for refunds must be submitted within four weeks after the commencement of the program (published date).

Non refundable amounts  
Any amounts carried forward and not applied in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be forfeited to STP.

Variation
No variation to these conditions is valid unless agreed in writing by STP. STP reserves the right to make any addition, amendment or alternation to these conditions upon giving written notice of such change to all affected students, parents and guardians.

Termination
Your admission to any STP Program is conditional on acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and on acceptance of the rules published by STP from time to time. STP may at its reasonable discretion impose sanctions, including suspension or termination. STP reserves the right to terminate the enrollment of any student whose standard of conduct is unsatisfactory. There will be no refund of fees in cases of expulsion or any criminal action.

Liability
Any reference in these Terms and Conditions to liability of the student shall also infer liability on the parents or guardian of the student and such liability is joint and several.

Liability of STP will (in all circumstances) be limited to the fees paid by the student for the relevant training program.

Law
Students’ arrangements with STP are governed by Hungarian law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

You consent to your personal information (e.g. first name, last name, email address) being used and agree to electronic mail being sent to you for the purpose of information and advertising by Study Transfer Program.
